my first attempt at making cards
i was asked to make some fathers day cards for my chicky and here is what i produced. they aint that bad considering im new to card making.

some of my layouts
ok i havent posted for a while, how slack of me lol. i thought it was about time to post up a couple of my layouts. eventually i would ike to add more but as i havent done any new ones for quite some time and the most recent ones are in a box in the shed that i cant get to, i will have to settle for the ones that i have already taken photos of.
a few of these layouts were done for a competition that i entered and actually won woo hoo. was the first comp i won. admitedly there was only a couple that entered but still i won lol.

Welcome to my very first post (YAY lol)
Well today has been a bit of a busy day. I have just recently moved house and have started the huge task of unpacking my scrapbooking gear. I was sitting there looking at everything i had and how things were stored and decided that i no longer liked how i was storing my stamps
This is how my stamps use to be stored. As you can see my stamps take up 2 folders, and lots of storage space

An open view of one of the folders. The stamps were stored in A5 sleeves.
I was finding that my stamps were getting squashed and were starting to bend which i'm not sure is that good for them!!!
So i decided to do a bit of thinking and experimenting with the A4 display sheets.
I have a food vacuum sealer at home and using that, i sealed the display sheet in the middle. It took me a few duds to get them roughly in the middle of each sleeve.

Then using a pair of scissors, i carefully slit through just one side to create another pocket. I will admit the cuts were kind of hard to get started. I should have cut the slits before sealing them but then it would have been kinda hard to seal them in the right spot!!!

I did this to all of the needed plastic sleeves until i had enough to fit my stamps.
I then placed all of my stamps into the plastic sleeves. I also sealed a few sleeves into 4 to fit the smaller stamps i have.

As you can see from the above photo, i now have all of my stamps in just one folder that is now half the size that it use to be.
